Project background: A municipal water conservancy project contractor in Chile needs to purchase carbon steel seamless pipes for the construction of high-pressure water pipelines.
Customer challenge: Water conservancy engineering has extremely high requirements for the compressive and corrosion resistance of pipelines. At the same time, Chilean customs are very strict in inspecting imported steel and require complete and internationally compliant Material Traceability Certificates (MTC). Any missing documents may result in goods being detained at the port and incurring high demurrage fees.
Wanxiang Solution: Based on its water pressure requirements, Wanxiang’s technical team recommended seamless carbon steel pipes that meet ASTM A106 standards and provided a detailed production schedule. Before leaving the factory, each batch of products has undergone strict water pressure testing and ultrasonic testing. We not only provided complete third-party SGS inspection reports and ISO9001 certificates along with the goods, but also assisted the customer in preparing and reviewing all the necessary documents for customs clearance in advance.
Project achievement: A total of 6 40HQ containers of steel pipes have successfully arrived at the Port of San Antonio with “zero obstacles” in customs clearance. In the on-site laying test, the pipeline showed excellent pressure performance, and no pipe material had any quality problems.
